Husband-wife duo ‘The Black Foodies’ mix love and dining

The couple highlights restaurants owned and operated by Black people in Chicagoland and beyond and rates them with kisses.

When traveling in Miami, a search for a Black-owned restaurant turned into a quest to showcase restaurants operated and owned by Black restaurateurs in cities far and wide. The Deans put their reviews on YouTube and are out with a new series on WGN called “Signature Chicago.”

Reset sits down with the couple to hear about their inspiration, their love of food and the effect their channel is having on Black business owners.
