Illinois professor tapped for Ferguson commission

As the unrest in Ferguson continues, St. Louis Governor Jay Nixon created a Ferguson Commission and swore in its 16 members Tuesday. The commission is said to address the social and economic conditions happening in the town after Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson shot and killed Michael Brown. The St. Louis County Grand Jury has yet to reach a verdict on the indictment of the officer. Over 300 individuals applied for the commission, and of that pool Southern Illinois University Edwardsville professor Dr. T.R. Carr was selected. Dr. Carr joins us to talk about the opportunity and how the group plans to both help and advance the Missouri town.
