Illinois Republican Party leaders say they’ve found the future of the state party: It’s 17-year-old Carl Miller, who’s with the Illinois delegation at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
Miller led the Illinois Republican delegation in prayer this morning before breakfast.
“Well good morning ladies and gentlemen,” Miller said, as he introduced himself to the Illinois delegation. “My name is Carl Miller and I have the tremendous privilege of serving the state of Illinois as an alternate delegate.”
The teenager was introduced as a rock star DuPage County volunteer.
“I’m here because I love liberty and I’m passionate about preserving and defending the constitution and the way we do that is we work together as Republicans to elect conservatives up and down the ticket,” Miller said.
He then prayed for a spiritual revival in the country and for God to protect the delegates.
