In budget speech, Pritzker goes after insurance agencies, tackles migrant aid, education

In his sixth, and arguably more “austere” proposed budget, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker laid out his legislative and funding priorities. Spending on aiding migrants is on the table. Some other increases are expected for DCFS. The governor proposes continuing to fund state pensions and Smart Start, the pre-K program.
