Farid Hafez is a founding member of Muslim Youth of Austria and co-editor of Islamophobia in Austria: An Interdisciplinary Anthology. In this Goethe Institut presentation, he examined Islam’s place in Austrian politics. After tracing the history of the Muslim immigration after 1945, Hafez explored Austrian-Islamic identity and presented his political and social outlook for Islam in Austria.
Hafez is a fellow in the Department of Legal Philosophy, Law of Religion and Culture at the University of Vienna.
