Former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich is expected in court today for a status hearing in his federal corruption case.

Today’s court appearance is expected to deal with Blagojevich’s plans to appear on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice. The Chicago Tribune reports federal prosecutors are worried Blagojevich’s appearance on the show could contaminate potential jurors in the former governor’s corruption case. Blagojevich will appear before U.S. District Judge James B. Zagel. Earlier this year, the judge refused Blagojevich’s request to travel to Costa Rica and participate in another reality TV show.
