NFL player James Harrison posted on Instagram this weekend that he was sending back his kids’ participation trophies. He wrote: “While I am very proud of my boys for everything they do and will encourage them till the day I die, these trophies will be given back until they EARN a real trophy.” Some argue that trophies aren’t the point of organized sports; they offer kids a chance to try their best and have fun.
