With overhauls of our health care and immigration systems on the table at the federal level, many social service agencies are grappling with new missions and mandates. Three experts with a national perspective dissect this: Susan Taylor Batten is the president and CEO of the Association of Black Foundation Executives; Father Clarence Williams is the senior director of racial equality and diversity initiatives at Catholic Charities USA; and Lupe Preston is director of Latino Affairs for the local chapter of Catholic Charities.
