Chicago Public Media and the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics host forums with the city’s mayoral candidates.
Reset poses voter questions to candidates organizer Ja’Mal Green and Ald. Roderick Sawyer.
Willie Wilson and Brandon Johnson declined to join. Johnson provided this statement:
"I am truly sorry that I am unable to attend today's Reset on the Road with host Sasha-Ann Simons and fellow candidates for mayor. The event is in direct conflict with a meeting of the Cook County Board of Commissioners, and as commissioner of the 1st District, I have an obligation to my colleagues and the people of Cook County that I serve. But I do look forward to continued contributions to WBEZ reporting and conversations with other stakeholders about the future of our great city, and how we can build a better Chicago for all."
