Mercury in retrograde and what it means for us

If you've noticed something strange in the air lately, or rather, an influx in things just not going your way, some astrologists say you might be able to blame the planet Mercury. Roughly three or four times a year, Mercury performs an optical illusion and appears to move backward in the sky. It's called Mercury in retrograde and it's happening now. But does this planetary backward motion have anything to do with malfunctions or miscommunications on earth? As for scientific evidence of Mercury in retrograde affecting anything about humans... there isn’t any. Mark Hammergren, an Astronomer at the Adler Planetarium joins us with more.
