In a special co-broadcast, the Morning Shift partnered with the Brian Lehrer Show at WNYC to compares notes on efforts to curb traffic fatalities through the Vision Zero campaign.

New York began its program in 2014 and Chicago marked its first year this past June, though results have been mixed.

Chicago Department of Transportation Commissioner Rebekah Scheinfeld sat down with host Tony Sarabia to discuss best practices, successes and future challenges. Commissioner Polly Trottenberg and Lehrer took calls from New York residents.
