A new documentary about Chicago’s Thompson Center aims to bring attention to the state building ahead of a potential sale or even demolition. The 16-minute film highlights the controversial postmodern building, which was designed in the mid-80s by architect Helmet Jahn, who is in the film. The film’s director Nathan Eddy says the building should be repurposed the way the old Chicago public library was turned into the cultural center.
