Local representatives from Chicago’s Northwest Side are voicing their support for the new Puerto Rico Self-Determination Act of 2021. The bill could give Puerto Ricans the ability to plan for statehood or independence.

Reset brings on Illinois state Sen. Cristina Pacione-Zayas to talk about her support of the bill, which was introduced last week by Reps. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Nydia Velázquez of New York and Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey.
