No fare hikes in CTA’s $2 billion 2024 budget

The agency says it intends to expand service, but the plan didn’t include many details on when or how.

The Chicago Transit Authority’s 2024 budget is up 9.2% and includes new measures like upgrading the Ventra fare system and conducting a study of its bus network.
