Peter Walker’s asthma kept him from having confidence in his physical health. After he became a bike messenger he saw his health transformed.

Now a politics writer for The Guardian, Walker says bicycles can transform not just people’s health but the communities they live in.

His book is How Cycling Can Save the World. It brings data on health benefits, economic benefits and takes on controversial topics like helmet laws, street space and why cyclists are hated.
