Republicans accuse Gov. Pritzker of ‘criminal negligence’ for veterans’ homes deaths

During the gubernatorial race in 2018, Gov. JB Pritzker accused then-Gov. Bruce Rauner of fatal mismanagement that led to 13 people dying at the state-run Quincy Veterans’ Home. This election year, Republicans are accusing Pritzker of a similar failure: 36 people dying from a COVID-19 outbreak at the LaSalle Veterans’ Home.
