After nearly 24 years working at WBEZ, largely as a talk show producer and senior producer, Steve Bynum is leaving the Reset team. But he’s not going far. Steve will be taking on an important new leadership role in the organization: WBEZ’s new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion manager, helping make sure the organization is living up to its values on a variety of fronts.
Over his decades with the station, Steve has worn a lot of hats, from engineer, to producer, then senior producer, guest host, mentor, union steward and more.
Reset sits down with Steve on his last day on the show, and we hear some well wishes from his friends and colleagues.
GUEST: Steve Bynum, outgoing senior producer of Reset and the new DEI manager at Chicago Public Media
