The Chicago Transit Authority will reopen the Rockwell station along the Brown Line Wednesday morning. The station closed in February for repairs.

CTA President Frank Kruesi says the Rockwell repairs are just part of the Brown Line expansion project.

“The key issues here are overall completion date, overall completion budget. I’m very comfortable about where we are right now,” he says.

Kruesi says the Brown Line station repairs are budgeted at $530 million.

Construction will begin soon at the Francisco and Kimball stations.
