Shove it, Satan

Happy Halloween! We have an extra-spooky episode for you all this week. First, Science Vs podcast host Wendy Zukerman and journalist Ann Marie Awad get us up to speed on high fantasy television, royal drama in Japan, and the worst sexy costumes of 2021.

Then, we are joined by the great writer Erik Larson. While he is known for nonfiction bestsellers like Devil in the White City, his latest is an audio-only novel. No One Goes Alone is set in the early twentieth century and follows a group of researchers who are based on the very real life Society for Psychical Research’s Committee on Haunted Houses.

Then, self-proclaimed monster expert and host of the online PBS series Monstrum Emily Zarka tells us why werewolves are super hot right now.
