Tomorrow, singer and actress T‘Keyah Crystal Keymáh returns to her hometown to pay tribute to Gospel’s original diva with a concert on Chicago’s South Side, and she’s asking her Facebook fans to weigh in on who they think is the original diva. You may know Keymáh from shows such as In Living Color and Cosby. The concert is Friday at 8 p.m. at Christian Tabernacle Church and kicks off the Black Music Month Gospel Trade Symposium. The symposium includes panels, lectures, workshops and a new artist showcase on Saturday, June 19 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m at Roberts Temple Church of God in Christ.
