Skokie Fire Academy’s latest graduate is 87 years young

Mort Feldberg, 87, who completed the program with his wife Karen Feldberg, 81, set the program’s record for oldest graduate.

A firefighter’s job may seem cool to us when we were kids, but it’s a lot more difficult and interesting than you might think. Mort Feldberg and his wife Karen to learn more about the job, from wearing the gear and rappelling down a building, to how to put out fires and clean hazardous waste.
