Speaker Madigan Faces Calls To Resign Amid ComEd Corruption Probe

ComEd has been charged in federal court with bribery and is expected to pay a $200 million fine.

Federal prosecutors on Friday sent subpoenas to Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan’s offices and unveiled bribery charges against Commonwealth Edison. The power company admitted to steering jobs and other benefits to Madigan, who has denied any wrongdoing.
