State Education Board To Look Into CPS Special Education Program

The Illinois State Board of Education announced Wednesday it’s looking into the special education program at Chicago Public Schools. This comes after a WBEZ investigation that found changes made by former CPS CEO Forrest Claypool resulted in delays and denials of service. When CPS denied there were problems, a coalition of parents and advocates asked the state to investigate.
