Stories on Stage presents: “Enough” by Alice McDermott. “Enough” was originally presented as part of “Morning, Noon and Night,” a program directed by Abigail Deser. In this story, a woman’s childhood ice cream ritual slowly reveals itself as a life-long pursuit of physical and sensual pleasure. The story appeared in the anthology “More Stories We Tell”, a collection devoted to contemporary fiction by women. Author Alice McDermott has been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize twice, and her novel “Charming Billy” received the National book Award in 1998.
