StoryCorps Chicago: ‘What Was It Like Being An Architect?’

For decades, David Gutierrez was an architect. He helped manage large construction projects in Chicago and across the globe. Gutierrez recently retired. As part of our Storycorps series, a few weeks ago his granddaughter, 9-year-old Harper, interviewed him about his career — and about ancient technology, like fax machines.

This interview was facilitated by StoryCorps Chicago’s Mary Bess Ser.
