Today on The 3@3, we bring two members of the Chicago City Council in to talk about the topics of the day. Alderman Scott Waguespack (32nd) and Alderman Leslie Hairston (5th) join host Steve Edwards.
Topics today include:
Steve Edwards: How can we have a panel of aldermen and not talk about the pension investigation in the Tribune? What do you make of the uproar over aldermanic pensions?
Alderman Hairston: It’s been a week since the infrastructure trust debate and what does the council’s vote mean for the future of mayoral power? And for that matter, the council’s role in city government?
Alderman Waguespack: Sheriff Tom Dart suggested that the city use the Joliet Prison for jailing protesters during the NATO conference. Is this is a good idea?
