WBEZ has been covering health care developments all day. Now, in the final hours of the afternoon, we recap the dicussion and get some final statements from lawmakers and other major players.

Amy Howe, editor of the Supreme Court blog that reached half a million viewers this morning, calls in to talk about breaking the news.

Ellie Mystal, editor of Above the Law, talks about the Supreme Court’s decision to take the case. We’re also joined by Tonja Jacobi of Northwestern Law, a specialist on judicial law, to expand our legal understanding of the case.

Neil Jordan, a health care economist, also joins us in studio for a conversation on health policy. Charlie Wheelan, a policy fellow, calls in from Dartmouth’s Rockefeller Center for Public Policy.

The second hour kicks off with a call from Senator Dick Durbin, who will tell us what he sees coming up for health care now that the bill has been upheld. He’ll move us into the political hour of the show, in which we’ll also talk to Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and State Sen. Bill Brady.

Then, we’ll look to Chris Robling and Dave Lundy, two political strategist from the Republican and Democratic parties respectively, to make some projections. And, at the end of a long day, breaking news in political corruption.
