A new investigation from the Chicago Tribune shows that recent hikes in Lake Michigan water rates are hitting African American communities disproportionately.

The reporting also reveals how billions of gallons of water and millions of dollars are wasted due to broken pipes and inefficiencies in Chicagoland’s water distribution system.
