O’Hare Airport is getting a new passenger airline.

Virgin Atlantic will start flying out of the airport beginning in April.

The airline flew from O’Hare years ago, but left when it had financial problems after September 11th.

Now, Virgin Atlantic Chairman Richard Branson says the time is right to come back to Chicago.

“To be able to come to a city which has the best restaurants, the best clubs, the best business…It even has ethanol plants just outside the city. So it has everything going for it,” Branson says.

Branson says the move will create about 250 new jobs in Chicago.

The airline is known for amenities such as complimentary drinks and individual televisions.
