What Arabs really think

By Produced by WorldviewWhat do Arabs really think? Jerome talks with James Zogby, founder of the Arab American Institute, and author of the new book “Arab Voices: What They Are Saying To Us and Why It Matters.”
The book is based on polling from Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, the UAE, Iraq, Palestine and Saudi Arabia. Zogby wanted to assess what Arabs really think about politics, their lives, their countries and the West. “Arab Voices” begins with reflections on what happened after 9/11 and how polls in the United States showed a real curiosity to learn more about the Arab world.
But now, in an election season full of Islamophobia, and anti-immigrant feelings, heightened by the Park51/Ground Zero Mosque issue, Zogby worries we went off track and missed a teachable moment from 10 years ago.
