Taste of Chicago plans for 2023 remain up in the air

There’s a lot of competition for events in Grant Park this summer. For the first time in 40 years, the Taste of Chicago food festival may take place elsewhere, possibly on Navy Pier, to make space for the NASCAR race downtown over Fourth of July. Meanwhile, two music festivals that use the park are taking steps to reduce their impact on the green space.
