After being detained for nearly three months last spring, renown Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei is pushing the limits of free speech in China once again. Worldview discusses the artist’s work and activism with filmmaker Alison Klayman, director of the feature documentary Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry. The film will run this Friday at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art as part of the Human Rights Watch Film Festival. And on Global Activism, Leslie Thomas of Artworks Projects tells Worldview about her latest multimedia projects which look at human rights in the Balkans, famine in the Horn of Africa and women amidst the war in Afghanistan.
