Peace Boat Comes to the U.S.

Emiko Ichinose—International Coordinator for “Peace Boat”  

The Japanese organization Peace Boat formed to counter militant nationalism in Japan. Peace Boat now offers around the world voyages which include educational programs, peace-building workshops and humanitarian support. Peace Boat is currently in New York where they are opening a new U.S. office aiming to counter American nationalism and encourage Americans to engage more with their Latin American neighbors.
