Murli Natrajan — Free Binayak Sen Campaign
It's been a year since Dr. Binayak Sen was arrested and imprisoned. Shortly before his arrest, his medical and human rights work had exposed massacres by police and private militias in India's Chhattisgarh state. The Indian government accuses him of conspiring with Maoist rebels, and he's been charged under strict anti-terrorism laws.
International organizations and Indian human rights campaigners have united behind Dr. Sen and the many other democracy activists who are currently imprisoned. Murli Natrajan is a US representative of the the Free Binayak Sen Campaign; yesterday, they organized an international day of action to ask the Indian government for Dr. Sen's release.
