The Balloon Hat Experience

The Balloon Hat Experience

The team behind The Balloon Hat Experience has made inflatable headwear for Bosnians, Turks, Norwegians and Kenyans, among many others.

In 1996, Addi Somekh and his friend Charlie Eckert began traveling the world to make balloon hats for people and take photos of them. The goal was to demonstrate that joy is a universal human experience and that just about anyone can appreciate the silliness of an inflatable hat. So far, the team behind the Balloon Hat Experience say they've visited 34 countries and have taken over 10,000 photographs.
