Last month, Film C ontributor  M ilos Stehlik of Facets Multi-media, began the occasional series Images, M ovies and Race that looks at the history and impact of bigotry in media, entertainment and advertising.

And while M ilos was at the Telluride Film Festival earlier this month, he bumped into a long-time colleague, Australian filmmaker Jan Sharp, and they got into a conversation about a number of industry topics, but M ilos ' ears perked up when the conversation turned to race.

And he thought you'd like to hear about some of what they discussed at Telluride and some of Jan's thoughts on what it's like to observe racism in H ollywood as an Australian outsider…
