Chicagoans react to political change in Tunisia

Joseph Abrahan, chef/owner of Semiramis Restaurant in Chicago, predicts other Arab populations will follow Tunisia’s lead.

Some analysts have speculated that the protests in Tunisia could lead to calls for democratic reforms in other Arab countries ruled by autocratic regimes. Worldview’s Joe Linstroth went to Chicago’s Northside to get reactions from our city’s Arab community about the wider implications of Tunisia’s “Jasmine Revolution.” It turns out many here in Chicago are hopeful.
