The "Jasmine Revolution" in Tunisia has inspired people across the Middle East. The success of Tunisia’s revolution is still up in the air it, but it looks like a pivotal moment for the region, especially with protests erupting in Cairo. Joe Kechichian is a scholar at the Middle East institute in Washington, DC and CEO of Kéchichian & Associates, LLC, a consulting partnership that provides analysis on the Arabian/Persian Gulf region. He’s author of “Power and Succession in Arab Monarchies” and gives us an update on the recent events there.
