Global Notes: Remembering Allen Toussaint

This week on Global Notes, we stick closer to home. Morning Shift and Radio M host, Tony Sarabia, brings us the music and legacy of New Orleans musician, composer and performer, Allen Toussaint. He died Tuesday, reportedly of a heart attack at age 77, after a performance in Spain. Toussaint is known for many famous songs including, “Mother in Law” and “Working in a Coal Mine” - the latter given new life by DEVO’s 1981 cover version. We remember Allen Toussaint, today on Global Notes. PHOTO: Allen Toussaint
