Global Notes: Mashrou’Leila tackles sexuality, homophobia

Lebanese indie band Mashrou’Leila is taking the Arab music scene by storm, and revolutionizing it in the process. Mashrou’Leila is one of the first bands on the Arab music scene to have an openly gay frontman, and to regularly sing about issues of sexuality. For this week’s Global Notes, Morning Shift and Radio M Host Tony Sarabia brings us the sounds and stories of this game-changing group. (Photo: Flickr/Aslan Media)
