We talk with famed scholar, historian and social justice activist, Noam Chomsky.
He’s the subject of a recent film called “Requiem for the American Dream.” In the film, Chomsky discusses the historical and systemic inequality in the United States. He tells us how he believes past U.S. populist movements are part of a continuum leading up to the current political rise of figures like Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.
Chomsky is professor emeritus of linguistics at M.I.T.
“Requiem for the American Dream” runs at Facets Multimedia, March 11–17, 2016.
