How Do Americans Poll On Russia?

President Donald Trump on Friday had his first face-to-face meeting as U.S. President with President Vladimir Putin of Russia. Confusion ensued as Russian officials claimed that Mr. Trump accepted Mr. Putin’s denials that Russia engaged in cyberhacking the 2016 U.S. elections. The U.S. denies Russia’s version of the meeting. Many Americans, both Democratic and Republican, share a strong mistrust of Russia. 

We look at where American opinion is trending regarding the U.S.-Russia relationship with Dina Smeltz, senior fellow of Public Opinion and Foreign Policy at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
