Writer Deirdre O’Connor made a bit of a splash last year with her play Jailbait. And now she’s looking for a repeat with a new work, which is also put on by Profiles Theatre, Assisted Living. Anne, the protagonist, lives with her mom in the family’s dilapidated home. She’s a lady in need of a push, which might have come along in the form of a younger man named Levi. The official opening was Thursday. The Dueling Critics, Jonathan Abarbanel and Kelly Kleiman, joined Eight Forty-Eight with their reviews.
Assisted Living will be at The Second Stage through Dec. 18.
