We say goodbye to our friend Abby Ryan

As some of you may have heard on-air today, we are going through some changes with our traffic reports. ‚ Just weeks ago, Shadow Traffic notified us that they would no longer be providing live traffic reports to us and to many other stations in the Chicago market due to corporate cost cutting measures. Thus, starting next week, we will no longer have access to live Shadow Traffic reports and will be working with a new partner. This means that today was our last day working with the wonderful Abby Ryan. ‚ We want to make sure everyone knows our decision here is not a reflection on Abby, or her performance. ‚ She’s done outstanding work for us and become part of our on-air family, and an essential part of our Morning Edition and All Things Considered team. ‚ So it is with a heavy heart we say goodbye and thank you to Abby for all her work on WBEZ. You can send well wishes‚ to Abby at her website.‚ And here’s audio from this morning with Lisa Labuz saying goodbye to Abby.
