WBEZ Chicago introduces Neighborhood News Newsletter

CHICAGO (October 25, 2023) - WBEZ Chicago has introduced the Neighborhood News Newsletter, a weekly briefing crafted by WBEZ’s data reporters to help readers understand their Chicago neighborhood “through the numbers.” In each weekly email, readers will get personalized statistics pertaining to their Chicago neighborhood, and will be able to dive into comprehensive analyses and data-rich stories about the larger city, through the lens of their local community.

The Neighborhood News Newsletter also offers insights into the economic, social and cultural trends that influence neighborhoods, presented through informative graphs and charts. WBEZ references the 77 official community areas in Chicago in the newsletter.  To ensure readers receive the newsletter for their community area, they can reference this official map before signing up for the Neighborhood News newsletter.

Other newsletters from WBEZ include The Rundown, a roundup of the top 5 stories of the day from Chicago and beyond, delivered to inboxes ever weekday at 4 p.m.; the Events newsletter with upcoming live and virtual WBEZ events; the Nerdette newsletter, a curated list of things to do, eat, watch, think about and read, out every Friday morning; Education This Week, a weekly newsletter with news and insights for Chicago parents to navigate education and issues facing kids, with reporting from WBEZ Chicago and the Chicago Sun-Times; and the Reset newsletter, a daily newsletter from Reset with Sasha-Ann Simons.
