Chicago Gets A New 311 App

A new tool from the city of Chicago lets you tackle potholes, tree trimming, graffiti, rats, and more, all from the palm of your hand.

On the new CHI 311 mobile app — available in the Apple App Store and on Google Play — Chicagoans can make more than 100 types of service requests and track their progress.

Morning Shift talks with the commissioner behind the project about how the city’ first 311 app works and how it can help Chicagoans.

GUEST: Danielle DuMerer, CIO and Commissioner of the Chicago Department Of Innovation and Technology
