German filmmaker, screenwriter and director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s, first film, “The Lives of Others,” won the 2006 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His new movie, “Never Look Away”, is nominated for the 2019 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
