WBEZ film contributor and Facets Chicago founder, Milos Stehlik, joins Worldview to share his reviews of two films. Roma, is the Netflix semi-biographical historical drama produced, written, filmed and directed by Mexican filmmaker and Academy Award-winner, Alfonso Cuarón (“Gravity” & “Children of Men”). Roma, also a Mexico City district, is set to the background of the 1968 Tlatelolco massacre. The film follows the life struggles of one middle-class family, and its live-in housekeeper. Roma is also a district in Mexico City. Milos also reviews The Favourite, Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos’ latest movie. The period comedy tracks the palace intrigue of 18th century English Queen Anne (Olivia Colman) through the misadventures of her childhood friend Sarah (Rachel Weisz), and Sarah’s cousin, Abigail (Emma Stone).
