In 'The Crossing,' A Syrian Refugees' Journey To Europe

The documentary, The Crossing, follows a group of Syrian refugees as they desperately move over land and sea to reach Europe.

We talk about the film and the struggles of refugees with the film’s director, George Kurian, a documentary filmmaker and photojournalist based in Istanbul. We also talk about the global refugee crisis with Bill Frelick, director of Human Rights Watch's refugee program.

The Crossing is part of the Human Rights Watch Film Festival at the Gene Siskel Film Center and runs tonight, Monday, June 20th at 6pm.
