Bears win over Tampa in London

The Chicago Bears are heading back to the U.S. with a victory. They beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 24-18, in a game played in London.

Come the third quarter, the Bears had a comfortable 21-5 lead over Tampa. But the Buccaneers made a game of it in the second half for the Wembley Stadium crowd. They came back to within three points before the Bears made one final field goal.

Both teams struggled with penalties. Combined, the Bears and Bucs had 15 penalties for a total of 123 yards lost.

On offense, the Bears’ Matt Forte ran for 145 yards on 25 carries and a touchdown and Jay Cutler completed 17 passes out of 32 attempts with two interceptions.

The Bears get next weekend off to get over their jetlag. Then they takeon the Eagles in Philadelphia.
